The Paleo diet has been around for a while, and that’s a good thing if you’re planning your wedding. It means you have a lot of options over traditional wedding choices. You can get a gorgeous wedding cake made that uses no white flour or processed, refined sugar.
There are plenty of Paleo meals to replace traditional wedding recipes. While alcohol is strictly non-Paleo, there are still a few refreshing and even elegant drinks you can serve at your wedding that will keep your guests refreshed and coming back for more.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to cheat and add sugar. Forget about breaking the bank either. There are sugar alternatives that taste great and keep you on budget. Let’s look at a few delicious Paleo drinks you can serve to celebrate your big day that will have your guests asking for the recipe.
Fruit Infused Water
This is so simple, refreshing and healthy. You can make this an elegant drink by playing around with your presentation. Talk about super simple, you dice up or chop fruit and add filtered water. If you use fruit juices, make sure they are all natural and have no sweeteners.
Use a spiralizer or julienne to give the fruit a wonderful visual appeal. Cucumbers, watermelons and limes are favorites, but you can use any Paleo fruit the floats your boat. Add monk fruit or Stevia if you need to add a little sweetness.
Paleo Lemonade Punch
Make lemonade as you normally would, replacing processed sugar with Stevia or monk fruit, coconut sugar or maple syrup. Make sure you use organic lemons and do the hard work of juicing them yourself rather than turning to an instant lemonade mix that might not be Paleo-friendly.
Thinly slice a few lemons and add them to your punch bowl for a nice visual effect. You can tweak your lemonade with strawberries, raspberries or peaches.
Refreshing Sweet Green Tea
This is easy and so healthy for you. Green tea has been used as a natural health booster for centuries, so why not add it to your Paleo wedding plan? Prepare a large quantity of green tea and add maple syrup, honey or coconut sugar while the tea is hot. Stir well.
You can alternately run a few peaches through a fruit processor, pitted of course, for a naturally unique sweetness. Add mint leaves for garnish and flavor.
